Howlers!!!

Usually, the term "howlers" applies to funny incidents where you howl with laughter till tears run down your cheeks. To me, howlers are people who are constantly howling, tears running down their cheeks, and who make me want to howl at the moon! We all know a few of these howlers. And here is a way to know if you are one. Just see how many of the points you (or your friends on your behalf), identify with.

You call friends/acquaintances/ people you have met only a few times, often (sometimes many times a day). Conversations are usually about the problems in your life!

You are perpetually in trouble and feel the need to complain to anyone who listens!

You use the phrase, "my life is a soap opera" too often. And truth is, you are right!

Your friends answer your call only occasionally!

At a dinner with the friends, conversation turns to your troubles as you hold center stage!

You are a cheerful soul, but have lots to complain about. The jokes are sarcastically complaining about the state of affairs of your life.

You forget to ask your friends how they are!

You call your friends to talk about them, but somehow the conversation turns to you.

You ask for a lot of advice - translated - you talk a lot about your troubles!

Your friends seem depressed!

If these apply to you, then you are a howler for sure!

Most people find howlers exhausting! They drain energy and make one depressed. You want to avoid them though you love them. And if this is how friends feel, imagine the man/woman you want to be with in the long term!

Everyone has troubles and everyone's life is a soap opera. So put a smile on that face and unless it is earth shattering, put a smile on your face and be little ms/ mr sunshine! Your troubles will stay no matter what, but at least you'll be more fun to be with. And once in a while, people won't mind listening to your trouble.

Oh! And seach the net to look for real "howlers!" They make great fun stories to tell your friends :)
